Take Iraq for example - they ain’t got the stars but they’ll grind you down with that nasty physical style. Or Vietnam - little guys but they run like their lives depend on it.
And don’t even get me started on the format. Eighteen teams in three groups? That’s just asking for chaos. The big names are gonna drop points in places like Tashkent or Amman - those away games are absolute traps. The refs ain’t gonna help you either. So my prediction? Watch out for the dark horses. Uzbekistan’s getting better every cycle and they got that new generation coming through. UAE’s tricky too - they spend money smart not like some other Gulf teams I could name. As for the favorites - yeah they’ll probably make it to the final round but it ain’t gonna be pretty. It’s gonna be ugly scrappy and full of surprises. And that my friend is why we watch.
