You can have the best Lucas chest compression device on the sideline, but if the med tech’s never run a drill in a muddy jersey and cleats, it’s gonna be a clusterfuck. My take? The whole “medical emergency action plan” thing is a checkbox exercise for most clubs – they pass the audit, then forget about it until someone’s cold on the turf. That’s where the real danger lives. Make it stick by forcing real-time, high-fidelity simulations once a month – not those bullshit PowerPoint reviews. Because when the stretcher comes out and the crowd goes silent, your AED better be charged, your team better know their roles, and your spine board better not be in the storage closet under a pile of cones.
