And here’s the thing about Harry Kane being named the 2026 Bundesliga Player of the Year — you won’t catch me arguing with the stats. 34 goals, 12 assists, carried Bayern through some right messes. But here’s what bugs me: official line always says he’s world class, they hand him the award, and then what? No Champions League trophy to make it stick. It’s tricky because the numbers scream legend but the trophy cabinet whispers almost. I’m not gonna pretend he ain’t elite — he’s elite. But elite without a UCL final win? That’s gonna haunt him forever in those “all-time great” debates. Bayern’s midfield fell apart in big games, his service dried up, and he still dragged them to the title. That’s real. But the pundits? They’ll point at the one loss in April and go “see?” Nah man, that ain’t fair. He’s the best striker in the world right now, and this award just proves it. Chips will come. Or they won’t. Doesn’t change what he did on the pitch.
