Listen I’ve been in the disability sports scene for years and I gotta tell you the whole development and promotion of disabled football it’s a mess Official reports say it’s growing but that’s just PR fluff The real problem nobody’s actually funding grassroots programs You got blind football teams using outdated equipment deaf players struggling with communication on the pitch — it’s not rocket science it’s basic infrastructure And don’t get me started on the media coverage they only show the emotional overcoming adversity stories not the actual athleticism To make it stick we need to treat disabled football as a legit sport not charity That means competitive leagues TV broadcasts with proper commentary and most importantly — stop patronizing these athletes They ain’t looking for pity they’re looking for a level playing field It’s tricky sure but it’s doable if we stop treating it like a side project and start treating it like the real deal
